Frequently asked questions
Do I need an active MAPA course to use MAPA IA?
To use the skills, yes. MAPA IA runs inside Revit connected to the intelligence of the MAPA template, and it is your course that unlocks the skills of each methodology: with MAPA for Interior Design active you unlock cabinetry and interiors, with MAPA for Architecture active, the architecture ones.
If your course access expires, the AI subscription continues, but the skills of that methodology show up as inactive course until you renew. That is why renewal and the AI go together here.
Which Revit versions does MAPA IA work with?
Revit 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027. The installer recognizes the versions already on your machine and activates MAPA IA in each one, so you can use it in more than one version at the same time.
It has to be an official Revit installation, with your Autodesk account and a valid license. If you are a student, the student license comes through the enrollment statement in the first module of the course.
Does MAPA IA burn a lot of tokens?
It was designed to run well on the lighter Claude models. Day to day we use Sonnet 5, which is fast and efficient for the kind of command you give inside Revit.
In practice that keeps consumption low and the response quick, without needing the most expensive model to handle the work.
Can I use it with the free Claude plan?
You can. The free Claude plan works to get to know MAPA IA and run your first commands in your project.
For anyone using it every day, Claude Pro gives a lot more headroom and avoids hitting the limit in the middle of a project.
